With relief, I see the sunrise
She granted me
This one last day.
Yesterday she rose
Tomorrow, who knows?
A rock
Hurtling through space
She drags us along
Pumping life into us
For just one more day.
I trust her with my life
And then she burns me.
I look to the tree to protect me,
All this oxygen they grant me
The shade casting over my bare skin saves me.
With relief, I see the sun has set,
All has been the same
As yesterday
