Face flushed,
Wrinkles ripple on your face,
You’re finally free from
the lead clawing at your heels.

On the open road,
With nowhere to go.
Run as far as you can,
Life is a circle.

Rolling through mountains, plateaus, and river eroded  Canyons.
Have you gone far enough to forget?
Sun sets in the semi-arid dust,
Not a single problem,
Left in a cup.

To make each
Day an adventure,
Raw horsepower can take you far,
But what about the horses
Powering your mind?

Do those neurotransmitters have enough gas?
To get away
From blood you’ve sprayed?

Wear the eyes of a shark.
Bones in a casket,
Never look back.
